It is important to consider to consider an author credentials before writing about him or using his information in an paper, essay or homework assignment. Why? Well you wouldn't just becomes friends with a person you don't really know. So same as an author you wouldn't want to take information from an author before checking his credentials, making sure that his info is correct and also updated.
